About

Holly Hunnicutt

Holly is a 6th generation Texan who brings a background in coaching from her careers in publishing and tech to her passion for Pilates. A lifelong movement enthusiast, her experience spans ballet, jazz, synchronized swimming, and Texas high school drill team to modern dance and Argentine tango.

Pilates

Holly discovered Pilates in 2013 when it was prescribed as physical therapy to heal an injury. She quickly fell in love with the practice and its focus on core stability and the proper alignment needed for dance. She is currently pursuing her Balanced Body Comprehensive Pilates Certification.

Her teaching style emphasizes proper alignment and ease of movement, helping clients build strength that supports them both in and out of the studio. Holly’s goal is for her clients to leave class standing a little taller and feeling more open in their posture.

Yoga Wall

A practitioner of yoga since the early 2000s, Holly has completed the Great Yoga Wall Level 1 training. She enjoys exploring how the Yoga Wall can modify poses to make them accessible to everyone. She is particularly fond of inversions, utilizing the wall to create space, traction, and decompression in the spine.

Outside the studio, Holly is an active member of Austin’s Argentine tango community and helps organize the annual Austin Spring Tango Festival.
